Grazia’s Lupita Nyong’o cover highlights hair bias in the media

Founder of World Afro Day Michelle De Leon shared her thoughts on channel 4 news regarding the recent row over Grazia magazine’s Lupita Nyong’o cover.

In response to the row, Michelle said ‘Our hair shouldn’t be altered or changed by anybody to fit into a European beauty standard. That’s what hair bias is about, it’s about saying our hair is not acceptable by the beauty industry.’
