Mission
From babies to the boardroom, our mission is to overcome bias and barriers against Afro-textured hair across society, with a strategic focus on Health, Education, Employment and Policy (HEEP).

We work constructively with MPs, policy makers and public bodies to ensure cultural understanding translates into practical guidance and systemic change. We unite individuals, families, schools and companies from all backgrounds, through our flagship celebration World Afro Day, held annually on September 15th.
World Afro Day 15th September
World Afro Day is a global day of celebration and liberation of Afro hair and identity. Established in 2017 and endorsed as part of the UN Decade of African descent. The estimated coverage reach is 1.5 billion.
Guinness World Record Holder
World Afro Day is a Guinness World Records holder for “The most users to take an online cultural awareness lesson in 24 hours” which is 1,382 people, achieved on 15-16 September 2025. People registered from 67 countries!
